The short version
Your audio and video files are never uploaded to our servers. All conversion happens entirely inside your web browser using the Web Audio API. We cannot see your files, store them, share them, or analyze them — because they never leave your device.

This Privacy Policy applies to ConvertingMP3.com ("we", "us", "our"), operated as an independent online tool. You can reach us at [email protected].
2. Information we do NOT collect
- Your audio or video files. All processing happens locally in your browser using JavaScript and the Web Audio API. No upload occurs at any point during conversion, editing, or any other operation.
- Your account information. ConvertingMP3 does not require accounts, sign-ups, or logins.
- Your contact details. Unless you voluntarily email us, we do not collect names, emails, phone numbers, or addresses.
3. Information we may collect
3.1 Server logs
When you visit our website, our hosting provider (Cloudflare) automatically receives standard request data: IP address, user-agent, referring page, and request timestamp. This is used solely to operate the site, prevent abuse, and produce aggregate traffic statistics. Cloudflare's data handling is governed by their privacy policy.
3.2 Cookies and local storage
We use a small amount of localStorage (not cookies) to remember:
- Your light/dark theme preference.
- Whether you have dismissed our cookie consent banner.
This data is stored only on your device and never transmitted to us.
3.3 Analytics
If we use a privacy-friendly analytics service, it counts page views without collecting personal data, fingerprinting your device, or following you across sites. We do not use Google Analytics tracking pixels for our analytics.
3.4 Advertising
We may display advertisements through Google AdSense or similar networks on supporting pages (blog, about page, etc.) to keep our service free. 4. How we use information
The minimal data we may receive (server logs, anonymous analytics) is used to:
- Operate, maintain, and improve our website.
- Detect and prevent abuse, fraud, and security incidents.
- Comply with legal obligations.
5. Data sharing
We do not sell, rent, or share personal information with third parties for marketing. The only third parties involved in operating our service are:
- Cloudflare — our CDN and hosting provider.
- Google — if AdSense ads are shown.
- jsDelivr — for serving our MP3 encoder library.
6. Children's privacy
ConvertingMP3 is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with information, please contact us and we will delete it.
7. Your rights (GDPR, CCPA)
Because we collect virtually no personal data, your rights to access, delete, or correct your data are largely automatic — there is little to nothing on file. If you have specific concerns or requests under GDPR (EEA), CCPA (California), or similar laws, contact [email protected].
8. Security
We host our site on Cloudflare's global network with HTTPS encryption everywhere. Because we do not handle your audio files, the most sensitive data — your media — is never at risk of breach.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision. Significant changes will be highlighted on our homepage.
